Requiem for a dream

 Posted by Hello

And some days
I open, my eyes to the lore
A mourning heart,
feeling numb to the core....

And I wonder what happened,
to my zeal to be me?
A forgotten passion
Lost, in the maze of sanity....

And I close my eyes,
to break myself free
But all I hear,
Is a requiem for a dream.....

That was beautiful! Completely my kind of poem (I mean, the kind that I can identify with, not write...)

And I wonder what happened,
to my zeal to be me?

I'm lost for words.

keep writing,
asuph.

thanx for ur words guys :)

Ramchi, I'm not too sure about it either.....I had taken the picture before writing the poem....but the words actually reflect my train of thoughts on one such mornings when I saw that sunrise....(I almost never wake up so early as to catch the sunrise on most other days ;)

SSM...I have a feeling I'm gonna like this movie....sometimes I really love dark and depressing movies :) remember Mystic River? I had absolutely loved it.....

I really like the way u guys are spoiling me with so many compliments ;) makes me want to write more....

thanx again guys :)

its me again!!

I've to admit i'm sorta addicted to ur blog. Never read any blog so deeply. I'm digging into your old archives. and yes, the poem's just brilliant!! I can relate to it sooo well.. I
dont think I can express myself soo well. Truly lady, you write well..

infact, that's my status msg on YM at times.. no sweat, i'm quoting the source.. :)
hope u dont mind..

and yes, i hate to admit, but i'm jealous of you BIG TIME!! You ACTUALLY have such a wonderful view from your house.. wow!!

i live on a busy, noisy, dusty street, where the huge trucks that pass by wake me up everyday. :) Haven;t seen a beautiful sunrise for years now..

One more thing, from the few write-ups i've read in your blog, no matter how beautiful and how lovely they are, I sorta feel, you are trying to explain the deepest feelings in your heart and also the pain.. there's heaviness in the air.. and yes the name, "El Enigma" truly holds..

It could be a wrong interpretation, mabbe just my perception.. but I still feel that.
Cant really put it as well into words as you do it, but when I do, will let u know ..

hey survivor....thanx for all the good words :)

and don't be too jealous of my home, I've moved ;) infact where I used to stay earlier was truly a noisy, busy intersection and I woke up to noises of moving buses all the time...but then yes, thanx to the trees and views outside, I really liked that place...

that aside, isn't beauty just skin deep, and the rest all pain? I think that holds good for what I write too...I've never really found my happiness absolute, it always comes intermingled with hues of pain...

thanx again for stopping by,
enig
